This office is located inside Royal city centre on the second floor towards the Walmart. It is a yellow sign that says CNIB. The staff are so kind and patient. My mom needed a new rolling ball for her cane and showed me two options, double checked her equipment and showed me how to change it. I truly am thankful for this organization and the staff’s friendly demeanour. They have been a great system for my mom as she is visually impaired.

Kathleen, at CNIB came into my life like a miracle occurs when you’ve given up hope. I hope if you’re having vision loss issues you find her as well. If you have vision problems you need to come here. I just had an amazing day first, at the vision loss rehabilitation centre, next door to cnib in New Westminster. And my life completely changed ged after meeting Darius at the rehab centre, snd then Kathleen, at CNIB. I have no idea that I can have so much improvement in my life before I met these two people. d with the kind of technology that I didn’t know even existed and then actually got to test at the vision rehab center. I’m still pinching myself today. It didn’t feel real. I had no idea that I could extend vision for a bit longer with all these technological miracles. Dariusz knows all this equipment and he carefully had me try it all out and each time I tried another thing I’d say why can I do this? Why can I read why why is this happening? It’s happening because he and the makers of this technology understand just exactly how a person with vision loss transition sees the world. And they’re good at it. I had some good ideas about lighting. But no skills like Dariusz has in incorporating into my life. is a a soft light from an LED bulb that helped too. all I could do for myself. I couldn’t read anything anymore. I gave up trying to read. I keep trying and trying, but I knew it wasn’t gonna be a daily thing for me. What they explained to me was as I know the brain is what reads not the eye the eye assist the pathway to the brain, but if I would’ve completely given up reading, there’s a very good chance that I might not read anymore because the brain will go on and do something different and I’ll forget how to read you gotta feed it something if it wants to if you wanted to keep growing so Dariusz introduced me to the fact that I could read a sign that was like a distance like an eye chart. I don’t know how I managed to read it, but I read it. I think six lines as they got smaller and small smaller I could still read it all I said why why can I do this? I can’t do that at my home. And then once again he explained if the light conditions are right and perfect for your level of your eye disease you can probably still read it and I think we just proved that didn’t we? I couldn’t use a Magnifier anymore. Did nothing for me. It was like looking through a window. He let me to use a Magnifier that they have there. I read one of those tiny nutrition labels without without a problem. I haven’t read one of those for probably 10 years. I read to someone’s Hydro bill just on a piece of paper. I can’t read any kind of mail I get. I read the Hydro bill. How did I read it? I read it with a Magnifier that they sell next door at CNBThere are so many things that I could’ve bought there, but I needed to digest what was happening. I’d have to be cautious with my spending right now. I’m so excited about buying the Mike the magnifying glass that allowed me to be able to read a bill very small print and probably many more things and it’s small enough to keep in my pocket like a spare pair of glasses. It’s not big it’s not cheap but it’s not unreachable so with the excitement of buying that I gave Kathleen who runs that office there my credit card number so I could pay for this wonderful miracle of life a magnifying glass that works while Dariusz put my new magnifying glass together with the batteries loaded inside it and it will now be delivered by Purolator I forgot it! .

Location is handy in Royal City mall. Things are set up well for those dealing with vision loss. Still miss the old Joyce street office
