Our experience with Comfort Keepers Halifax was extremely positive. Our mother needed care for over 3 years so we met many of the staff. There was consistency in the staff assigned to our mother which was really helpful to all of us. The caregivers were well trained and well supervised. We received updates from the manager on a regular basis. Daily notes and communication between the caregivers helped maintain a high level of care. They were very dependable, ensuring there were no gaps in the care. But most importantly, they were very kind and compassionate to our mother and our entire family. I hired Comfort Keepers for a period of one day per week for a few weeks, as a respite service in my duties as a dementia caregiver. They were so extremely professional and attentive. There was a primary person and a backup, and they were both pleasant and able to adapt to my partner's personality and needs. They were always punctual and dependable, providing me with peace of mind and time to recharge. It felt like a trusting and familiar relationship, which is so important for someone with dementia. Additionally, the administrative staff at Comfort Keepers was a pleasure to work with. Paru was responsive, accommodating, and always willing to address any concerns or make adjustments to the care plan as needed. Her excellent communication made coordinating care seamless and stress-free.
