Family optical in Winnipeg Manitoba is a dream come true and I STRONGLY SUGGEST AND HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM especially the low vision specialist Dr Colleen. I was born legally blind and am registered with CNIB. I had always hoped, dreamed and prayed that I could have a drivers license. But for 50 years I was told by probably two dozen plus different eye Dr’s / optometrist that there was nothing that could be done and that my eye sight was to poor and that it’s just something I’ll have to accept. Well I’m typing this out today after passing my drivers road test last week and I want to thank family optical and Dr Colleen for helping me achieve and receive my life long dream. Besides the incredible support and knowledge on getting my Bioptical prescription glasses Dr Colleen also impressed me with her patience and understanding professionalism. Within the first few minutes of my first appointment I knew that she is not doing her job for finances but because she has a huge heart for people and the desire to help people with low vision. Everyone that works there treats you with respect, kindness and compassion. I toke a chance going all the way to Winnipeg to go to her clinic but I’m so thankful I did. Thank you family optical for blessing me with your knowledge and kindness you truly made my life long dream come true!!!!
