  Overall, it was a pleasure working with Moe and his team as they both remodelled our en suite bathroom and replaced our kitchen, counter countertops and bkacksplash. This was our first significant project in our new home involving outside contractors and I had Quotes from five different contracting services that varied significantly in both price and approach. Moyay was one of the lower priced options and I feel we received tremendous value for our money. Moe has access to higher quality equipment and materials, including Riobel, Pearl and Silestone quartz. I also found it helpful having his retail location in North Vancouver available to view sample product for tile and cabinetry that they will custom design for your space, and then to walk next door to their partner business to review tile and flooring options. I would find this exercise very challenging to view in a catalogue or through selected samples that a contractor may bring in a space. I think this is a significant advantage in working with this team, although I know they are not unique in the service. I am giving their work four out of five stars only because I felt I needed to play a significant role in “managing the project”. Moe was very responsive to any of my questions, and would arrange for timely delivery execution for services that I would point out, But I felt I needed to hold the standard for the execution of the job and had requested a series of finishing touches or minor revision work that I’m not sure would have happened had I not commented. Perhaps this is typical in working with contractors unless you pay a premium price and even then I suspect the homeowner is ultimately the one that needs to hold the work to standard.

  Moe is responsible, responsive, honest and intelligent professional. He keeps his promises and open communication. His price is fair and always clear about how much it’d cost me to do a job. He sends great trades to do jobs and Moe is always there to answer when jobs are getting done.

  We hired Moyay Construction to renovate a 2 BD/2 BATH condo in DT Vancouver. The unit had been damaged by a flood in an adjacent condo. The project budget was approximately $40,000 and included new drywall, flooring, tiling, plumbing, electrical outlets, painting, baseboards/trim, custom closet organizers and decorative wood paneling. Moe was great to work with. He is responsive and has a calm demeanour, which helps move things along smoothly. The project came in on budget and close to schedule. There were a couple of deficiencies that were immediately addressed. Overall, it was a positive experience and we are very pleased with the end results.
