I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to Nurse Miriam — SRT Med Staff of the Markham location(110, Copper Creek Drive). I was extremely nervous and emotional during my wound dressing appointment and spent much of the time in tears. Through it all, Miriam was incredibly kind, patient, gentle, and reassuring. Her calm words and compassionate care helped me relax so much that I hardly felt any pain. What could have been a very stressful experience turned into one filled with comfort and kindness. Miriam’s caring nature and dedication truly made a difference, and I will always be grateful for the way she looked after me. May God bless her always and continue to guide her hands and heart as she brings comfort, healing, and happiness to countless others every day. Thank you, Miriam, for being such a wonderful nurse and an even more wonderful human being.

Have you seen “I care a lot”? Well, this is even worse because this is real! It’s the worst experience ever, they all seem to don’t want to do anything at all and get paid for showing up, as if leaving as fast as possible was the only thing that mattered. I’m glad I can move and speak up so I can defend myself and kick them out, but I fear for anyone that’s not able to do so and end up in their care as I highly doubt they would really care well for them at all! In my personal experience and trying to summarize it as much as possible because the list of complaints is long!! * They don’t communicate what exactly they can help with and instead want the client to tell them what to do but then they would refuse to do almost everything as if it was beyond them. * I kicked out one of them because when I was telling her I wanted her to do the dishes carefully and properly without breaking them nor rushing around, and to please put them away where they belong leaving on the side what she didn’t know where it goes because otherwise it’s hard for me to find things up, to which she answered back giving me attitude and bossing me around telling me that I should do it myself then, so I asked her to leave which she only gave me even more attitude but this time as if trying to fight me so I just insisted on her leaving and when I tried to report her I just got more attitude from whomever answered the phone as if the problem was that I asked her to do the dishes on the first place. I just ended up hanging off. * One of them kept pushing to change her hours on a daily basis, even after she had asked to show up at the agreed time she would still message me asking to come up several hours earlier or at least half an hour earlier just because she preferred it that way, and if I didn’t reply she would show up at the time she wanted as if I must had to prioritize her needs over mine. This was constant, no matter what time we agreed for. When I finally stopped agreeing to it and asked her to stop the behaviour, she asked me to call the company to ask for a different person because she didn’t want to deal with it. * They are supposed to help with doing dishes yet if lucky to get them to actually do them they do it so fast that they are not properly washed, you can see mugs and glasses still dirty. When putting them away they just throw everything carelessly so things get broken easily and they hide it or pretend they didn’t notice it. * It’s like having to micromanage them or babysit them or train them on how to do their job properly but as if they were a teenager that is completely upset about having to even listen so then they do it all badly and run away so you can’t complain. * It’s exhausting for someone dealing with a chronic or terminal disease. I spent lots of time going through things with one of them so she would know where to put things and how to do the bed properly, yet I could see that she just didn’t care to put any effort into doing her job right because she doesn’t really care about the person she is helping, and when trying to report them or getting better service the treatment received by those over the phone it’s even worse! * It’s been such a hard time dealing with them that I feel quite fed up and I’ve been thinking to just cancel the service and do it myself, even when I’m dealing with terminal cancer and seriously needing help so I can keep my energy to have less pain and a chance of having a life but by now I have no capacity to be dealing with this sort of treatment nor to be struggling by trying to make things work with them just so I can have the help I need. * The problem is that no one of upper management really cares either cause otherwise things wouldn’t be as bad as everyone in these comments are sharing.

My mom was in the hospital for 1 month and the hospital care coordinator arranged SRT services. Arranged for the first visit for my mom today which is Monday between 9-11. Got a call at 11am saying that they are still waiting for a PSW to go out to my mom. Nobody came. I called back at 3:30pm and the person who answered said they have reschedule it for tomorrow at 11am. Nobody called to relay thing message and I have been waiting all this time. My mom lives by her self and I have taken a day off and waiting for someone to show up.
