I had a very disappointing experience with Sleep Country Canada. I purchased a mattress in January 2026, and within just 2 months it started sagging badly. Thankfully, it was still within the 100-night trial period, and the warranty claim was approved as a defective product. However, when I tried to exchange the mattress for a lower-priced option, I was refused a refund of the price difference—even though I was clearly told at the time of purchase that this would be allowed. That promise was not honored, which is extremely frustrating. To make matters worse, I called the store and spoke with Jamie. I clearly explained my situation, confirmed the mattress I wanted, and was quoted a price of $949 over the phone. I was then asked to visit the Deerfoot City location where I originally made the purchase. When I arrived, I was instead quoted $1249. I explained that the Brentwood location—and Jamie himself over the phone—had offered me the $949 price. However, when the Deerfoot City staff contacted Jamie to confirm, he denied ever giving me that quote. This was extremely frustrating and felt very misleading. If call recordings are available, I strongly suggest reviewing them. What should have been a simple exchange turned into a stressful and disappointing experience with poor customer service and lack of accountability. In the end, I chose to walk away without any refund rather than continue dealing with this situation. Overall, very disappointing. I would not recommend buying from here based on my experience.

This is my detailed account of a frustrating warranty claim for my Tempur-Pedic mattress, which ultimately felt like a calculated effort by the company to deny coverage through technical workarounds rather than address a clear product defect. The Core Problem: A Premium Mattress That Failed Prematurely I purchased a Tempur-Pedic ProAdapt Blue mattress on June 8, 2021, expecting long-term durability from a premium brand. Unfortunately, after only a few years, the mattress developed a "noticeable and persistent sag," which for me, as a new father, has been especially distressing, causing "significant back discomfort and strain." The mattress simply failed to live up to its supposed quality. As I originally wrote, I found it "extremely disappointing that a mattress of this price point and claimed NASA quality would fail so significantly." The Warranty Claim Process: Shifting Goalposts and Technical Denials My attempt to use the warranty exposed what I believe is a pattern of denying legitimate claims: 1. The Original Denial (Technicality 1): My claim was first rejected based on a minute detail—my slatted bed frame had 2-inch slats instead of the 3-inch minimum required by the warranty. 2. The Requested Evidence and the Pivot: I was asked to resubmit additional documentation, including my itemized receipt and detailed photos of my bed's support system. I provided photos, clearly explaining that my support system exceeded functional requirements by using a "completely flat, 3/4-inch solid MDF platform" on top of the slats to ensure a solid base. 3. The New Reason for Denial (Technicality 2): After providing this extensive evidence, the representative changed, and I received a new denial from Ginette Muamba. The reason was now that "The board placed on top of the slats is not solid enough to support your product." This was immediately followed by the unsolicited suggestion that "the only suggestion we can give is if you bring your support system up to warranty standards, best done by purchasing a Tempur branded foundation." 4. The Factual Misrepresentation: I challenged this, quoting the warranty text which lists only a few inadequate bases (like plywood) but not solid MDF. The final response from customer service was a baffling and inaccurate statement: "Unfortunately, the MDF is a type of plywood. As you have called out in the warranty 'Inadequate bases include, but are not limited to, plywood.'" Conclusion: No Faith Left in the Brand My takeaway is that the support team's focus was not on finding a resolution, but on finding a technical excuse. My final message to them summed up my frustration: "It has become clear through this exchange that the focus is on finding technicalities to deny the claim rather than addressing the product's failure." I had to point out their factual error (MDF is not plywood) only to receive a defensive and unhelpful response. The combination of a premium product failing prematurely and a warranty process that acts as "a barrier to a resolution" has led to one conclusion: "As a result, you have lost a customer." I intend to share this detailed account widely to ensure transparency regarding their product durability and customer service standards.

We went in just to look around and see what options were available for a future bed purchase, but we ended up buying a bed and having it delivered just two days later. Darran made us an offer we couldn’t refuse and made the entire process incredibly easy. He’s a great salesman who genuinely cared and took the time to make sure we chose the best option for someone who experiences chronic pain. Thanks!
