  We had such a wonderful experience renting a wheelchair here. The owner was incredibly kind, efficient, and genuinely friendly from start to finish. Everything was smooth and easy, which made a huge difference for our trip. Thanks to him, my boyfriend was able to show me around downtown comfortably, and it really meant a lot to us. You can tell he truly cares about helping people and making sure they have a good experience. We really appreciated his warmth and professionalism, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place to anyone who needs reliable mobility support. Thank you again for your kindness!

  I’m a Retiree that just moved to Victoria, shopping for a rollator walker and an e-scooter to assist with my COPD exercise limitations. My budget necessitated used equipment and my radar was up for fast talking sales people. The owner Doug and his wife were very knowledgeable and showed more interest in my needs than my wallet. I purchased both the next day after doing my evening research finding their recommendations spot on. With their large selection of used equipment I was not shoe horned into a “it’s what we have” solution. Patient, honest, old school knowledge and values here.

  Unsafe and Negligent Service NEGATIVE ZERO We have had a terrible experience with Vancouver Island Medical Supply regarding a defective ceiling lift for a vulnerable senior in our care. From the very beginning, the lift they installed was defective. We reported issues on June 08, June 21, July 07, and July 09. On July 13, Doug picked it up due to yet another malfunction. Since then, months have passed with no resolution and no working equipment. We have followed up countless times. On September 23, we called again and were told the lift would be back or updated by October 6. That promise was broken, today we are still left with no lift and no accountability. Every time the machine fails, we are forced to manually transfer a disabled senior, putting our backs and health at serious risk. Instead of taking responsibility for the defective lift, we were told to rent one from the Red Cross, which is completely unacceptable. This company’s negligence endangers both caregivers and clients. If they cannot provide safe and functional equipment, they should not be trusted with vulnerable people’s lives. We are now preparing to escalate this matter to Island Health. Avoid Vancouver Island Medical Supply at all cost. Do not put your loved ones at risk.
