My mother who suffered a stroke got transfered here from the Ponoka Rehabilitation hospital as she had to take the first bed availble. First off the state of this facility is terrible, very old and run down, moldy chairs/furniture and a foul odor everywhere you go. This place is mainly filled with patients with severe cases of dementia, the recreation and activities is abysmal. The herd the patients into thw front foyer area where they all sit in a circle while music plays. It is extremely depressing to say the least. In fact I broke down crying multiple times the first day my mom arrived as I was genuinely in shock. My mother suffered a stroke but is cognitively fine. She was not able to make any sort of meaningful connections with anyone. This place seems like the type of place people go to die, and not to heal or live. The staff seemed nice but other then that this place is truly awful and I would never send my loved ones here in any good conscious. Luckily my mom got transferred to a better facilty within a few months. But during the short time she was here, she slipped into a very deep and dark depression. Terrible facility and genuinely one of the most depressing and sad places I have ever seen in my life.

My father was here for 2 years before he passed. The staff who cared for him treated him like family and called him grandpa. He loved them as did we. They were short staffed most of the time. If I had an issue with my dad for any reason I called and things were handled well. The food wasn’t the best but the staff were fun and attentive in the dining room. When my dad died the staff cried with us. They were incredibly sweet. While a lot of reviews are negative I would urge potential residents and their families to visit during dining hours and see for themselves. Give the hardworking staff grace because they’re trying their best.

Terrible place. My husband was there. He was neglected and improperly cared for! There is a lack of concern for the residents and a lack of communication! They are only concerned with protecting their poorly trained aides and staff. Don't believe a word in their introduction. Would give them minus stars if I could. They are incompetent and uncaring
