Mother-in-law is trying out the facility. Funds staff friendly and agreeable. Food is good quality and quests are welcome. She finds the facility a little too warm. As a night owl, dinners a little early. She enjoys the facility activities and watching the children play soccer across the street. Both a Safeway and BC liquor store are a two block walk away.

Amica Arbutus Manor - 30 day respite care We are so grateful to Amica Arbutus Manor for a 30 day respite care stay which we needed to provide a temporary home for my husband who has dementia and for myself while I had my emergency sinus surgery. All the staff were always friendly and upbeat and communicated extremely well amongst themselves so anything we needed was addressed in a very kind and timely manner. The dining room menus were wonderful and the options and variety outstanding. Just a lovely experience. So a heartfelt "thank you" to all the staff and residents who made us feel very welcome. One final mention goes to Nicole Watt, Community Relations Director, a good listener, who with kindness and compassion made our journey to Amica Arbutus Manor seamless and stress free. We shall be forever grateful for such a positive experience. Evelyn and Gerry

A very nice place. We have brought our mom here (93 y.o.) after a fall left her in need of more daily attention than we could give. She still had some mobility but just needed extra care an attention. The rooms are very nice, as are all the staff we met. Now after a short time there, this continues. They make her feel important and cared for. The meals are very good adn they certainly accept and cater to all the personal likes, wants and needs of each person.
