My mother called an ambulance for herself in 2019 and left the premises to the hospital on her own. I got a call from the hospital the next day saying she was dying of heart failure. My mother died the next day… Amica and their staff down played the whole incident. I should have sued them for breach of contract… Our family should have been contacted by Amica the night of the issue… not the next day by Victoria General. They were lucky to get away with this without litigation. I’m sorry now that our family never pursued this .

As a visitor of residents at Amica on the Gorge I was very impressed with the quality of food and the availability of gluten-free food. Although I’m not a resident - it sure is nice to be able to join my family for a meal and know that they understand gluten free.

GREAT AMICA TOUR EXPERIENCE: Challenging to try not to repeat any of the other posted reviews, but the Gorge location does indeed offer an impressive option for those seeking retirement/senior living experience...has great open, relaxing feel upon entry & being greeted by some great concierge folks...both staff and residents look very content to be at this scenic location, several inviting areas in which to meet, relax--even entering the complimentary underground parking felt like being in a busy, aromatic kitchen! Many thanks to Rene for a great tour/appt session plus helping to answer some good, relevant concerns, & best wishes to Amica/Gorge!
