Scary. I've visited friends here 3x since Christmas. We always meet in the coffee room just off the main reception area. Everything looks clean and orderly UNTIL the march of the mice. This past week there were 9 sitings in 45 min. (possibly, not 9 mice - but certainly not just one.) On a previous visit 2 weeks before, I saw several and others in my party remarked about the mice cruising along the folding wall to the dining room. I wasn't seeing those mice because i had my back to that wall. At Christmas time our visit was in the late afternoon. I saw two mice (traveling close together) and others commented on mice they saw. In view of the Hantivirus outbreak on the cruiseship, I would think any facility (floating or otherwise) would be minimizing client / guest exposure to mice. These probably aren't deer mice, they haven't likely been the S.America but still, it seems Amica would be wise to get on top of this problem.

My name is Dawn Mattson and I teach step by step paint classes with the seniors here. Not only do the Residents seem genuinely happy but the staff are always so happy, friendly and supportive towards me and the Residents alike. They encourage their residents to join in and support me as well. Every team member I encounter each visit engages with me in such a positive way and each makes me feel warm and welcome so naturally. Thank you all for inviting me into your home.
