My mom has been there for some time. Major concern is poor food quality and quantity, room cleanliness is extremely poor, if I didn't clean it would look like a homeless person lives there. When a medical issue arises, it can take days if not weeks to see a doctor. Consider how much we pay per year, the way this place treats their residents is unacceptable and negligent.

My dad was very comfortable at Ashwood with the loving nursing and PSW staff that helped him when they could which was very limited. The management was not so great! He lived there for just over a year and lost 30+pounds, the food was terrible, unhealthy, and super small portions. His toilet leaked the day he moved in and often over flowed and was never fixed.. His room smelled terrible like urine as they kept removing his vinyl cover on his bed so his bed would get wet. We had to replace two mattresses. They have a high turn over in staff, I think there was 4/5 care coordinators in a year…. For a place that charges $4000+ a month it’s sad that he’s getting better care for much less monthly, and better food at Long term care. There’s no comparison and it’s seriously sad to see our elders treated like this.

Just a short note on behalf of our mother and family to thank everyone at Ashwood Manor for the excellent care and living conditions she is experiencing at this wonderful facility. Mom's health and mood have improved significantly since her arrival in early August, and we are very grateful for her good fortune to be living at Ashwood. Special thanks to Wilma, Debra and all the staff for your kindness and attention to detail - we truly appreciate it!
