I would not leave anyone you love in this place. Not even your worst enemy. It made me think of One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest, the movie. To me, this place is like an old run down hospital. The stench is what hits you first. That smell never leaves you while you are there, It needs a paint job and new furniture. It is loud, crowded and small shared rooms and hallways. I came into a hallway and my brother was sitting, with other poor souls, in a small alcove in front of a very small tv, with no sound. I was informed that there were times the tv was not turned on at all. I came in to my brothers room and there was a naked man the staff were changing. The staff did not have the decency to draw a curtain closed around him. I can only assume they have no regard for the patients. I asked for updates on how my brother was doing… never happened. I asked the staff to open his blinds… still not done when I broke him out of this place. Even though, it took awhile because of waiting lists, I have finally moved my brother to a new residence and first day, I see him smiling and watching his private tv in his private large room. Later I was in the TV room with a huge TV and my brother is listening to music videos tapping his foot. The next day, my brother already knows where his room is, he is talking and happy again. Thank goodness I moved him from George Boyack!

I can't say enough good things about George Boyack and their incredible staff. From the moment we walked through the doors, we were greeted with warmth and genuine care. My mother has been living there for over a year and a half now, and each member of the team goes above and beyond to ensure that residents are comfortable and well taken care of. Their dedication and professionalism are truly commendable. The staff are not just caregivers; they are compassionate companions who treat every resident with respect and kindness. The personalized attention provided by the staff makes a significant difference in the daily lives of the residents. They take the time to understand each person's needs and preferences, creating a supportive and nurturing environment. Whether it’s through the attentive medical care, the engaging activities, or the friendly conversations, the staff at George Boyack consistently demonstrate their commitment to excellence. Their enthusiasm and positive attitude create a vibrant and loving community that my mother is grateful to be a part of. Knowing that my mother is surrounded by such wonderful people brings immense peace of mind. George Boyack is truly a special place, thanks to its extraordinary staff.

My mothers two year stay at George Boyack was the worst nightmare that she ever experienced in her life. The call Bell system was unreliable, and she would sit in her mess for hours at a time and phone her daughter, myself, to phone them and ask them to go and clean her up. She fell quite seriously twice that we are aware of and her emergency call button that she wore on her wrist did not work. She wound up one time crawling to the door and screaming for help. That particular time she wound up with two broken ribs, and she had to crawl to get help. The second time she fell, that we are aware of she actually broke skin on her face and was bleeding and had to again crawl to the door of her suite to call for help because her emergency button didn’t work. My mom was terrified the entire time she was there. She was scared she would fall on the floor and hurt her self in such a way that she would die on the floor before she could get help because she couldn’t crawl to the door to scream for help. For us family it was a nightmare we felt she was very much neglected and in someways almost abused at George Boyack. We were never so happy as we were when we heard that she was being moved to Providence and I have a review of Providence in comparison to George Boyack. My mom aptly named George Boyack as the bargain basement home.
