  They send new poorly trained staff who need constant supervision and instruction daily who are quite argumentative when ask to do things according to my routine. There is no condistency and mdmt dont care about client requests or concerns.

  After spending 17 days in the hospital Shweta was referred to me for in-home Physio to regain my strength and health back. We did two sessions a week for 12 weeks and have finally gained back my strength and endurance. Exceptional service and very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend 🙏

  I understand that the role of a PSW is challenging. They step in and care for our loved ones, and it's not always pretty. However, we have had issues almost from day 1. People often show up late. And then have the audacity to demand to leave early. We have had to ask - REPEATEDLY - for the PSWs to engage with my mom and not play on their phones. We have indicated that we do not want a male PSW because of incontinence issues. Without fail, every week, we get a call saying a male PSW is scheduled. We met with our care co-ordinator from Ontario Health At Home this summer to review my mom's file. It was decided that her care would change from personal to respite. This would ensure that the PSWs would stay the entire hour for which they were scheduled. This has not been the case. A few weeks ago, one person showed up late, demanded to leave early, and then argued with my sister and father that they should be the ones taking care of my mom and not her. When my sister or I speak with someone at CBI, we are told that our concerns are already on file, and yet without fail, the same issues continue to arise. The continued lack of accountability is alarming. People needing PSW support are vulnerable, and need compassionate and empathetic people to help them. Even after our file was updated by OHH to reflect the change from personal to respite care (meaning, they are there as companions + personal care), we are repeatedly told by the PSWs that they need to leave early for travel time. It has been confirmed multiple times with CBI that travel time is NOT part of their scheduled hour with us. Frankly, continually leaving before the hour is up is employment fraud. EDIT: so it's been over a month since I wrote this. Once a month, we qualify for 3 extra hours. Without fail, the PSWs either show up late, or forget to show up. One person had the audacity to tell my dad that they overworked 3 hours. How an organization that often shows up late and/or leaves early can say they "overworked" is laughable. Today, my dad had an appointment scheduled during the time CBI was scheduled to be with my mom. They even confirmed yesterday! Lo and behold, the PSW showed up 20 mins late today, making my dad late for his appointment. Here's hoping things get better now that Extendicare has bought out CBI. I shudder to think what "worse" would look like.
