Understaffed CHSLD. Many patients , huge, and not enough attention paid to the elderly patients. The nurses are stressed but mostly nice. So you can ring the bell and nobody will show up for hours and when they do they see all the rooms ringing together.. Ive seen other CHSLD and unfortunately this is the only one like that.

People are nice as long as you are nice to them. Main complaint is the food. I’m put on a diet that is soft food at best and they run through their menus really quick (boring) and are , quite frankly, unpalatable. Phones are missing and the whole building is in the deep freeze . The gruesomeness of the place reminded me of the barracks . My rudimentary french was put to the test. Even though I had the right to be spoken to in English, as soon as I spoke one word almost every one screamed the one English word they know, “FRENCH!” and walk away as if it were the most shameful thing . They pretty much do their thing and then leave. What more do you want?

My mom was admitted mid September and we have not yet had an orientation appointment. My sister had to call and complain to head office and finally someone is meeting with us in November 12th! No one speaks hardly any English and so difficult to get answers. They get so defensive like we’re trying to accuse them of something. All we are looking for is some compassion and help from these so called medical professionals. No one seems to know anything. You look for someone on the floor for assistance and no one on sight. You press the button and takes them forever to come to her room. You could be laying on the floor and die by the time someone comes to check. Now my mom is getting palliative care but they have no room in that section. I’m so not impressed with this place. So sad that this is the last place my mom will be in. It was supposed to be a transition place while we wait for room in a private room at another location. Unfortunately my mom is running out of time now :( this was in 2019
