  Janine Kondas has been our Activity Aide for over a year. During that time she has used her expertise as a Certified Athletic Therapist to initiate some excellent exercise programmes. Her classes are well attended and are tailored to the abilities of the participants with the aim of keeping us fit and active. When not putting us through our paces in the fitness centre Janine can be found on the Long Term Care floor helping to enrich the lives of those residents with exercise, games and musical activities. Her patience and warm, caring personality make her a great asset to the residents at Chartwell Vista. Janine’s impressive credentials also include First Responder, qualification in Basic Life Support and Vocational Rehabilitation and Disability Management.

  Janine is a highly valued and indispensable member of the Chartwell Vista Community team, whose absence is strongly felt due to the energy and consistency she brings—especially through her exercise programs. Her strength and conditioning classes, particularly advanced sessions, are outstanding in quality and effectiveness, inspiring confidence in participants. What sets her apart is not only her professional expertise but also her sensitivity to residents’ diverse needs; she adapts her approach to ensure everyone feels included, supported, and encouraged. Her organizational skills are equally impressive, especially on the second floor, where she manages a wide range of needs with compassion and efficiency while fostering a collaborative environment. Janine’s dedication, empathy, and initiative make a meaningful impact, and she is a tremendous asset to the Chartwell Vista Community.

  I have known Janine Kondas for the past year-plus in her capacity aa Activity Director, working both on the Memory Care floor, as well as in the rest of the Chartwell Vista buiding. I have observed her working with my husband who is a patient on the Memory Care floor. She is cheerful, optimistic and strives to get the best out of each patient. Her work is exceptional. She is genuinelty interested in each patient. She has them exercising more, taking part in music activities, exercise, cooking, puzzling and other activities. My husband is happier, more engaged, and definitely more content when Janine is around. I also take classes from Janine in her exercise classes in the rest of the building. She is very knowledgable and enthusiastic about what and how she teaches. With the wide variety of ages and abilities, she has tailored her classes to benefit everyone. She keeps her eyes on us all and is quick to help anyone who needs etra attention. I am confident Janine is very qualified for her position as Life Enrichment Activity Aide. She is a valuable asset to management and to all the residents with whom she shares her knowledge and her enthusiasm.
