Our family had the privilege of receiving palliative care support through the Mississauga/Etobicoke Ontario Health Team (MOHT), including the exceptional team at Dorothy Ley Hospice, and we are deeply grateful for the care provided during one of the most difficult times in our lives. Dr. Chopra and Dr. Zive were outstanding. Dr. Chopra's compassionate, attentive, and genuinely supportive nature during his intake meeting made us feel comfortable with his care. They took the time to ensure my father’s comfort and dignity were always the top priority, while also offering our family reassurance and guidance when we needed it most. Their kindness made a lasting impact on all of us. The Spectrum Health Care team, including the nurses and coordinator, were equally incredible. They were not only highly professional but also deeply empathetic and responsive. The 24/7 support line was reliable and easy to access every time we reached out, someone followed up promptly, which brought immense peace of mind. Because of this coordinated and compassionate care, my father’s final days were as comfortable and dignified as possible. This service is truly essential, and I am profoundly thankful that it exists and continues to be supported. On behalf of my entire family, thank you for helping my father pass peacefully. I can’t tell you enough what a special place Dorothy Ley Hospice holds in my heart and how deeply grateful I am for their support during my mom’s illness and passing. They truly were angels to my mom, providing her with a dignified and meaningful experience in her final days on this earth. They not only took exceptional care of her but also supported me as her primary caregiver with immense compassion and respect. The entire care team was outstanding, responsive and attentive, even when mom was still at home. I can’t thank the volunteers, staff, and medical team enough for the peace of mind, love, and comfort they gave to my mom and to our entire family. We need more places in society like Dorothy Ley. I strongly believe funding in Canada needs to increase so that more people can have this sacred, peaceful experience as they transition from this earth. Thank you everyone at Dorothy Ley from the bottom of my heart. ♥️
