My grandmother resides here and I work out of town and am often not around. When I do pop in to see her, she seems happy, her room and her person is clean and she has her friends. The staff keep me regularly updated on her and how she is doing; knowing that I am out of town. Unfortunately my grandmother injured herself a while back (through no fault of the home) and the nurses did an amazing job of keeping me in the loop, working with me and the hospital and doctored to make sure she is cared for properly and I know where she was at all times. I have thought often about moving her closer to me so I can see her more often but honestly, she is so happy where she is that I believe that would just be selfish on my part and I have such a good network of caregivers at Dr. Zetter that I worry I wouldn’t have if I moved her. Very happy and lucky that I was able to find her a place with Dr.Zetter 3 years ago; it was the only place my late grandfather would accept to move her to so he could visit every day. Thank you to the care workers for taking care of her and others, I know it’s not always an easy job!

Continuing my tour of Edmonton nursing homes / LTC facilities I found this one to be Very homey and down-to-earth. The residents can create their own gardens and there are visits of animals. The residents can have their pets visit. The vibe seems quite laid back. Spoke with one resident who said she had been there for 7 years and loved it. My sister and I both took a tour with Joanne, who was very informative and helpful. She and her colleagues seemed to be there as their vocation, and not just a job. UPDATE 24/10/23: Moved my Mom here from Jubilee. She is much happier here. Still sharing a room unfortunately but the room is twice the size as the one at Jubilee. Also meals are on the same floor as her room, and not in a big hall downstairs like at Jubilee. Biggest advantage is that no long lines for the elevators
