  Five stars well-deserved! I recently visited Evergreen Retirement as part of a professional group dedicated to senior support and advocacy. Having toured many residences, I was thoroughly impressed by what I saw here. The Suites The first thing that stands out is the sheer size of the suites. They are notably spacious, bright, and airy—a refreshing change from the cramped layouts you often find elsewhere. The large windows allow for plenty of natural light, making the living spaces feel warm and inviting. Amenities & Atmosphere The amenities are top-notch and appear very well-maintained, but it’s the overall atmosphere that truly sets Evergreen apart. There is a genuine sense of peace and community throughout the building. The Resident Experience Most importantly, the residents we encountered seemed genuinely happy, comfortable, and engaged. It’s clear that the staff prioritizes creating an environment where seniors don't just live, but truly thrive. If you are looking for a place for a loved one that balances modern comfort with a pleasant, welcoming vibe, I highly recommend booking a tour.

  I am a senior resident living here at Evergreen for 2 years now. I am content living here as I believe that the staff and management treat us like their families. They go out of their way to help us with what we may want or need and ensure that we are feeling comfortable and safe. The building is kept clean and it is a beautiful space that we call home. I often find that people who come into the building feel that it is warm and welcoming and has a sense a community. We can always depend on staff and feel we are heard. The staff stop to listen to what you have to say which is greatly appreciated. Activities and events here stimulates and brings us joy, being with staff and residents. It is fun and interesting because the programs organized are based on our input and feedback- our own hobbies and interests. Our shuttle driver is very caring and careful and makes our trips a delight. The nursing staff are attentive and reliable. The cleaning staff are wonderful and thorough just how we would like them to be. The dining services are wonderful and know what to serve based on your likes and dietary needs. I am happy here and would recommend Evergreen to other people looking into retirement homes.

  We moved my mom into Evergreen Retirement Home about a year ago, and it has been a very positive experience for her and for us as a family. One of the biggest deciding factors was that she could control the heat in her own room. That may sound small, but it mattered a lot to her. We toured another retirement home where this wasn’t possible, and it was a deal-breaker. At Evergreen, she loves coming back to a room that’s warmer than most people would prefer, and that comfort has made a real difference in how happy she feels there. The staff are consistently kind, friendly, and cheerful with her. Before moving in, my mom was living alone after my father passed away, and it was isolating. Her mobility had declined, and she was mostly just moving between the kitchen and her bed. Now she has people around her, a full schedule of activities if she wants them, and a reason to get out of her room for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Meals can be delivered, but sitting at a table with others has been great for her socially. Evergreen has also taken a lot of pressure off of us as her kids. Knowing she’s well cared for gives us real peace of mind. PSWs help her with things like showers when needed, and there’s excellent access to healthcare. She’s been able to see an on-site doctor, and even booked an appointment with an ear specialist who visits once a month, which is incredibly convenient. A special thank you to Teodora Elez, who guided us through the entire process. She showed us around, visited my mom at her home with other team members, and took the time to make my mom feel comfortable with what could have been a difficult transition. That personal care meant a lot to our family. I often sit with my mom at meals and chat with the other residents, and they are just as friendly and welcoming as the staff. Evergreen is full of good people, and I’m genuinely glad my mom is there. It’s been a very positive experience.
