My family and I are severely disappointed in the care my family member received at this care home. They clearly only care for profit, not the care of their residents. Running out of face cloths and hand towels to the point of washing a resident with a full sized towel in their bath. Items going missing and not being found until a family member visits and mentions it. My family member who does not have dementia being treated like they have it (essentially being brushed off) whenever they asked a question or tried to find a missing item. Teeny tiny bingo prizes. A mini can of Pepsi. A fun size candy bar. And sometimes the number callers aren't the nicest. Coming in their room at 4am to put away laundry and leaving the lights on in the room when they leave. Not listening to health concerns. No physical or occupational therapy ever. No room to do any kind of exercises and try to improve physical health. Also, the meals are now made in a third party kitchen who brings it to the care home to be reheated for residents. The soup tastes so watered down and it's simple soups like cup o noodles. The same fish supper for a whole week. Tiny portion sizes (single drum stick, etc) even though the resident asks for more. Some of the individual nurses are fantastic. Went out of their way to be helpful for my family member and tried to do their best to help us. Even had a meeting with the care director. It only improved the situation for a month and we were back to square one.

Well it's a year ago today that mom left us and I was last in the Maples. A few days after her passing I found this Mrs. Claus doll that looked just like mom. I just had to share a picture. I really felt like she reached out to me. I hope all is well with everyone and all is going well now. Mom may be gone but I still think of you all and pray you are all well and safe. Take care love the Ward Family Mom was in the maples for almost 4 years. She passed November 19 2020. All the staff that took care of mom in 2 South are awesome caring people. Thank you for your compassion as I stayed with mom in her last few days. I'm going to miss all the friendly faces and hellos from everyone when my son and I came to visit. You all take care and stay safe. Your all wonderful caring staff hugs and love

The only focus is on making profit. Covid19 is shining light on an already existing problem in this institution which stems from the business model... the pandemic cannot be used to justify such poor care. My father was a resident in 2018 for 11 days. He went in stable and in 11 days drastically deteriorated from the daily neglect. Still processing his passing which was clearly traumatic for both my father and our family.
