I have been going to Extendicare Mississauga for the past 3 years, and I am very happy with how my sister and brother in law are treated. From the day they arrived, they were welcomed warmly , introduced to the staff and Management. The activities, food and the place, feel like being in a large family. I am so happy to have them in this fine establishment.

My mother-in-law who is 91 years old with dementia was accepted as a resident about a month ago. We find her semi- private room spotless with a large window. The entire property is spotless and is well maintained. All the staff from the director to the receptionist are friendly, helpful and make you feel welcome. The staff who take care of her daily needs are extremely kind, joyful and caring. They make my mother-in-law feel happy and engage as much as possible. A special shoutout to Sonia, Lydhia and Joyce who have formed a bond of trust with her. They go beyond their duties to make her feel comfortable. All the staff are special humans who joyfully perform very difficult tasks. Yes, I have observed abusive residents but yet to see any negative response from any of the staff. In my view all the workers are angels as they are serving the most delicate people. Many seldom get visits from family. My special gratitude to all the staff who together help to make the last days of our love one’s comfortable as possible. May you and your family be blessed with with good health and happiness.

Although Extendicare took great care of my Dad for almost 3 years, the director violated his rights and would not allow a priest to give my Father his Last Rites when he was dying. Very upsetting. My Dad deserved better.
