My mother was briefly a resident here, but I was forced to take her to the ER because they attempted to murder her. Yes, I said they attempted to murder her. Let me repeat that, in case you're slow... THEY ATTEMPTED TO MURDER HER!!! My Mom is 95 and has dementia; originally mild, but after this facility's tender care, it has progressed to severe. They restricted her water until she became too dehydrated to drink, then claimed that this was a natural occurrence. I took her to the closest ER where she was diagnosed with severe dehydration. When I removed her from this facility, she was penned in a corner of her room, the call button placed far out of reach, and the TV was blaring, so you could not hear her from the hallway. She sat there repeating over and over again, "please help me". The kind of evil required to dehydrate a person to death is a kind of evil I don't really understand, but more than this, I don't understand why no one will speak up and say this is wrong. If you are an employee of Golden West, I urge you to go to the Police and make a statement about illegal activities you have witnessed. Do we really want people this evil living amongst us? I will see criminal charges laid, no matter how many times the Police say no.

The staff took exceptional care of my Mom during her time there. When she was on her last days, they were very caring and understanding, even taking care of me while I stayed with Mom. The entire facility always smells clean and it has a lovely, warm and homey feeling. They continue to make improvements regularly and encourage family to be a big part of their loved ones stay. Highly recommend!! Thank you!
