Last fall, my brother was grievously injured in a car accident: a distracted driver of an SUV drove over him. I wasn't sure he would even survive. His recovery was slow and difficult, marked by several surgeries, and lots of intervention (cleaning wounds, changing dressings). Public hospitals have only so much staff! I immediately approached Wendy to set up a 12-hour per day rotation of caregivers, 7 days a week, for 4.5 months, till he was released. As he put it to me, Wendy and her team saved his life! They tended to him closely and carefully, helped him drink and eat when he was so immobilized, then fetched him snacks as he felt better; they chatted with him, helped the nursing staff change his dressings, and helped with the more personal needs. At the lowest point in his life, they were indefatigable. They also respected our visits discretely, and made sure to be be attentive when he was getting tired out. I am so appreciative, I really have no words to express my gratitude to these ladies. Kudos!
