It’s the wish of most Canadians to die at home. It was the wish of those family members I’ve cared for, diagnosis to death, and, sadly, despite my best efforts, I just couldn’t make that wish come true for every of them, only one of three. But volunteering with Hospice Toronto, I was able to make that wish come true for others–free of charge. It’s the most meaningful volunteer experience I have ever had.
