I spoke with Sue from Just Like Home and initially had a very encouraging and positive conversation regarding setting up care services for my elderly father. Sue was kind, helpful, and gave me the impression that they would be moving forward with the process. After our initial conversation, I was told there would be follow-up communication to arrange an interview/appointment, provide access to a portal, and send the necessary paperwork. Unfortunately, none of that ever happened. I followed up myself and was reassured that they were still working on moving forward with my father’s care. I even expressed that if they were unable to accommodate him, I would completely understand and simply asked to be informed so I could pursue alternative arrangements. Again, I was reassured that the process was still underway. It has now been over a month since the initial contact, and there has been no further communication, no paperwork, and no follow-through. During this time, my father has gone without care while I have essentially been left trying to chase down answers. I completely understand that not every company can accommodate every client, and I would have appreciated honesty and transparency if that had been the case. However, when communication indicates that something will be moving forward and there is no follow-through or explanation, it leaves a very poor impression. To be fair, my initial interaction with Sue was pleasant and encouraging. However, at this point, I am disappointed and frustrated by the lack of clear communication and follow-through.

Just Like Home has provided my mom with excellent support during a season when she was not managing well on her own. She had been thinking of moving in with us, but with the support of the excellent worker provided, she has been able to regain her confidence and stay in her own place. The same worker came each time, was dependable, friendly and efficient. Couldn’t ask for anyone better. Definitely recommend to others! Valerie

My family and I were very grateful for the help we got from Just Like Family Home Care, we needed help urgently for overnight respite care with my grandmother, and within no time John was able to find us a suitable care provider who took good care of our grandmother during her recovery. I strongly recommend them for their amazing services. Thank you once again
