    My dad (Eduardo BOTELHO) was a resident of Lakeside Nursing Home, from September 6th, 2023 till July 6,2024. I want to thank Glinda (RN), Annie(RN), Rachelle(RN) his PSW’s, Courtney Edmond (Support Team)and everyone on the second floor for being one of the best care providers for my dad. I could never be more grateful for the support I received day and night and in between. I am so grateful Liz Brorson(Daughter)

    Excellent place not just because it's UHN but it's clean, staff are friendly and managers even Administrator when touring all ensured our questions were answered. Very impressed comparing other LTCs.

    This is an Extendicare managed home and owned by UHN. My mother is currently there and has been for a year. I toured it 4 years ago and it was beautiful. Now, it is starting to fall apart and hasn't been maintained. Leaks and water damage in bathrooms. The regular staff on the floor are wonderful and try their best with what they are given. But management up until now has lacked any leadership. If it wasn't for the front line workers who work directly with the residents, the place would fall apart. Wifi hasn't worked properly for over 4 years I hear. The staff cannot do their work without it and often need to walk around the floor to find a hotspot just to document medical information. It has been brought up at every family meeting for the last year that I have attended and the home has still not upgraded it. That's ridiculous for this type of facility. This is just the tip of the iceberg. They need to get their act together.
