My experiences are of two friends who are currently residents there and the care that they are receiving is unacceptable, speaking disrespectfully to them, ignoring their request s. One of the ladies today waited so long to have someone come and take her to the bathroom that while sitting in her wheelchair, she wet herself. When staff eventually did come they yelled at her, put her in a diaper and put her in a bed with the sides up. The poor lady is in tears believable. The sweetest kindest lady you ever wanted me my other friend has one problem after the other staff is disrespectful to her, and on one occasion when I spoke to the social worker in confidence about an issue between a family member and my friend with regards to elder abuse, the social worker ended up calling the very party involved. So much for protecting the victim. I find the overall attention to residence here severely lacking not to mention the fact that visitors have to walk through a wall of smoke immediately outside the main doors where residents are smoking a variety of products and on one such occasion, I smelled weed. How they get it in there I have no idea. At one time many years ago, when I had a relative in there, it was lovely and well run but I’m afraid I would not recommend this place to anyone now.

I was at Medow wood retirement long-term care and just happened to be here when the dinning room was cleaned. I am Thoroughly disgusted with the job done. Dirty tables and crumbs left on the floor as the cleaner did not sweep the floor but moved dirt and food around with a wet mop, which I can see crbs on the floor from where I sit. I have done cleaning I'm a long term care facility my self and can not believe how dirty it is. I find the residents pay to much for the substandard quality they receive and that thus is a workers dream job as they are not held to top standard work. If I could of gave no stars I would have. This is in my opinion a home that need a major overhaul with in the staff. Residents are paying to much to live in a place like this and I don't understand why places like this are aloud to stay open. Total training needs to be done here.

My Grandma lives here and it fits her reverently quiet and yet ever so friendly demeanor. I love that there's a nice little chapel in there with a delightful lady Preacher, and how that good, wholesome music is always playing in the background. I believe this is where my sweet Grandma is truly meant to spend her last years on this Earth before she joins my Grandpa in Heaven, and I'm all for it. There's helpful and caring staff, and I sense their endearment towards her and all the other elderly residents, and they always have a pleasant demeanor, which makes the atmosphere so great over there. The interior looks clean and nicely decorated, plus the view from the windows are absolutely beautiful, which I know as glimpses of Heaven. ♥️
