My mom was there for few years and really had a blessed last few years. The staff and the team were wonderful and always made it feel like home for my mom who at that time was suffering from dementia. Our family could have not asked for better care than what was provided at Parkland Clayton Park. Our family truly was able to get through her last years of her life knowing she was well cared for and she was happy.

Mom went into Parklands a few years back, and was, shall we say, 'reluctant,' but the staff at Parkland from receptionist to director did everything to make her feel welcome, and she ended up having a wonderful time (as well as a boyfriend!) The care is top notch, with an on site doctor, beauty salon and spa, and several opportunities for residents to get up and moving about. Housekeeping is in the cost, with a lot of very handy extras available at a very affordable rate. Socially there was no end of activites: movie night, pub night, puzzle rooms, games, art rooms, a private dining room for special family occasions, and possibly a poker game somewhere. The best part of the day for mum was the afternoon coffee and cookies chat in the main lounge, where the loveliest ladies got together and gossiped and bragged about their children and grandchildren. The lunch cafe ran a close second, and the library became a regular morning stop to read the news. The dining staff were some of the friendliest young people, so patient and kind, and Sunday brunch is a must! I live overseas, and only saw mum in the summer so it was important to me that she was in a trustworthy place that could look after her but where she could still be independent. Her 1 BR apartment was the perfect size, and she could bring much of her furniture and artwork to make it 'home.' It is difficult to put a parent into care, and when they dont want to go, but must, it's even harder. Parkland made it easier for the family, and looked after our mum beautifully. I cant say enough about the support staff, and I highly recommend it.

My experience at Parkland Clayton Park was wonderful. I went to visit my Aunt for her 90th birthday where the staff had set up a large, beautiful entertainment room with delicious food, treats and beverages. The campus was very impressive and clean. The staff were all lovely and very helpful! It was a very warm and friendly environment and I really enjoyed my time.
