My Mother was a Resident at New Village Retirement Home and we were very happy with everything there. Her room was a wonderful size. All the Staff were wonderful and helpful. The meals were great. Lots of activities for the Seniors to do if they wanted to participate. These disgruntled people giving one star review with no explanation is ridiculous. P.S. that was 16 years ago so situations could have changed.

Pine villa stoney creek may have very good staff. But being privately owned, for-profit there is a problem . . March 03 2024 Day shift, only 2 psw' to look after residents, short 2 psw for normal shift. I agency nurse and 1 rpn. February 2024 update, Pine Villa has informed all patients to be ready to vacate by May 31st 2024. This has now created transfer trauma. This goes against what the patients were informed of, they had been informed there would be no disruption to their living area during what is suppose to be a new build of a 244 bed ltc and retirement residence. We are told by lims-ccac-hhs that construction will not commence until the last patients have been relocated. The real world is that within a 75km radius of pine villa there are zero beds available. Most have wait lists of 100 people of more. Yet, we are told that everyone has been moved to priority level status. Which doesn't make sense if there is no beds available. Moving forward, some staff have moved and checked out. There is a lot of agency staff working now, that don't know current needs of patients. Local and provincial politicians have been informed of this, and investigations with the ministry are currently active.
