Zoe, since arriving on December 1, 2025, Linda and I have been deeply grateful for the wonderful care we have received here at Selkirk Seniors Village. Linda has been treated with kindness, dignity, and excellent professional care in Long‑Term Care. And I have been warmly supported in Assisted Living. We appreciate the many resources, activities, and entertainments that care for body, mind, and soul. They help us stay connected, engaged, and encouraged. To all the staff — nurses, care aides, recreation team, kitchen and housekeeping staff, administration, and everyone behind the scenes — thank you for your patience, your compassion, and your steady commitment to the well‑being of residents and families. You have made these six months a time of comfort, stability, and genuine community for both of us. We are thankful. With appreciation, Bruce and Linda

My parents are in both areas of Selkirk (AR, LT) since April and have done well to adjust to life in a care home with very supportive, caring staff to them and to us. My parents have shared the meals are excellent too! One area that is need of improvement is the inclusion of background music during meal times to feel more like a restaurant than an institutional dining hall. "Music is highly important at mealtimes in care homes. Research indicates that playing soothing, familiar music can significantly reduce physical and verbal agitation, decrease mealtime resistance, and even increase caloric and nutritional intake for older adults" . I'm hoping that background music will be included to make the dining experience more enjoyable.

Had Easter lunch with my sister. It was held on the main floor. We received an amazing three course meal. The staff went all out to make everyone feel welcome. Plus much to my delight I received a lovely potted plant. My sister often remarks on how happy she is here. Welcoming, friendly and clean.
