My grandmother has dementia and has been at St. Vincent's for about 2 years. She also lives with hearing loss, which can make her care challenging. The staff know her and her ways and truly care about her. She recently fell and broke her hip, and the hospital wrote her off as palliative and refused to offer her food when she wasn't eating on her own (when they did bring her food, they offered her pizza when she didn't even have her dentures and was having difficulty swallowing!). Since she's been transferred back to St Vincent's, she is getting much better care, is comfortable and eating appropriate foods! We are so thankful to the staff of St. Vincent's for truly caring for their patients and hope to continue to see progress in Granny's recovery under their care.

My mother stayed here and they provided excellent care. Higher patient to staff ratio than other places. For the most part great staff, engaging with residents regardless of their job (maintenance worker and carpenter both knew my mom’s name, would chat with her). Facebook page kept up to date with photos of activities. I could check to see mom’s involvement. Very family focused. Only reason I gave it a 4 and not a 5 is that its an older facility and limited space.

Our Mom is presently residing at St Vincents and has been there for almost 7 years. My siblings and I visit frequently and advocate on her behalf. We cannot say enough about the excellent care that she receives, her floor nurse, and staff are wonderful to deal with and have provided a very caring home for our Mom. We have had a very positive experience with St Vincents.
