Spent time with a senior, the staff here are wonderful. Always nice to see activities in a long-term care home, where the seniors are active, laughing and kept busy.

I have had consistently terrible experiences at this facility. I have had other family members in care homes before, and the level of care there was completely different. In those facilities, staff were engaged, attentive, and actively caring for residents at all times. This facility is significantly more expensive, yet the quality of care is noticeably worse. On many visits, I see staff standing around doing nothing—talking among themselves about non-work-related topics or sitting and relaxing in what is supposed to be a family visiting room. On multiple occasions, I have asked staff to help move my family member out of her wheelchair as she nearly falls out of it. I am repeatedly told, "ok" or "yes" and then it never happens. Today, when I politely reminded staff again, I was told it “doesn’t make a difference what chair she is in, she will slump either way, and my request was ignored. Meanwhile, my family member is often leaning over in her wheel chair, nearly falling out- the regular chair is much safer for her, they are just lazy. Today I arrived to find her without a bra on and dressed only in a pajama top. This is a complete failure to maintain her dignity and basic standards of care. I want to acknowledge that there are exceptional staff members here. Head nurses Debbie, Penny, and Sherri consistently demonstrate professionalism and genuine care. Janette, the community activity leader, is also outstanding and clearly invested in the residents’ well-being. Their efforts stand in sharp contrast to the rest of the experience. I understand this is a difficult job—I do very similar work myself—but maintaining residents’ dignity, safety, and happiness should always be top priority. When I visit, residents appear bored, disengaged, and neglected, while staff are visibly idle with arms crossed against walls instead of interacting with or supporting those in their care. I have experienced repeated issues every time I visit. Based on these experiences, I would never recommend this facility to anyone.
