  It’s been just over 4 weeks since Brian and I moved into the Rocky Ridge Manor Village. It’s amazing how quickly time flies. We have pretty much found a spot for all the things we brought with us and with pictures on the walls, it’s beginning to really feel like home. Moving is not easy especially when downsizing, but it was time. We are glad we made the decision to move here. It is a very warm and welcoming place to live. Everyone including staff and residents are very friendly and helpful. We are enjoying the tasty meals especially not having to prepare them or clean up afterwards. We really enjoy the assigned seating at dinner allowing us to get to know other residents. Unfortunately, we have not been able to get involved in a lot of activities as we still have our house and are currently holding garage sales trying to get rid of “stuff” we have accumulated over the years. Once that comes to an end we hope to get more involved, maybe even playing bridge. All in all, the time we have been here has been very enjoyable and I keep feeling I am on a holiday. Agnes Jossul

  Our mom recently made The Manor Village at Rocky Ridge her new home. Mom was looking for independent living in the NW that also offers an age-in-place option and she found it here. From our first call to schedule a tour, the staff, management, and residents have been very warm, helpful and welcoming. Tracy is exceptional to work with! Her depth of professional knowledge and experience, her caring and patient nature, and her “can do” spirit made Mom’s introduction and move-in feel seamless. Cassidy, and the front reception team, always have a smile and an answer for our questions. The dining room staff are very friendly and considerate and the meals are delicious. Mom, my sister and I have been warmly welcomed by many of the lovely residents. The suites are spacious and have the full kitchen and in-suite laundry that were on Mom’s must have list. The sunroom in each suite is a relaxing space that adds to the coziness. The hallways are wide, bright and feel like a gallery thanks to the beautiful artwork. The calendar of events has something for everyone, every day of the week. Mom was overjoyed to find out that her longtime and beloved yoga teacher, Spring, is teaching classes here! Our family is truly grateful to have found this caring and supportive community for Mom to call home.

  We moved into The Manor this summer and found everyone very friendly, helpful and caring. The building and grounds are very well cared for and the suites are large. My favorite room is the sunroom, which is a nice bright room for reading, crafting, sewing or doing puzzles. The meals are delicious and a time for socializing with other residents. Staff are amazing; kind, considerate, and very helpful always greeting us by name and with a smile. As we were from outside of Calgary and didn’t know our way around the city we have found the bus trips to grocery stores and shopping malls very helpful. The Wellness Centre on site with a pharmacy, lab, and personal care available is also great. There are many activities and outings available for us to take part in. We would highly recommend The Manor for anyone thinking of making a move into an independent living community. No more grocery shopping, house maintenance and snow shoveling.
