I want to leave another review for the O'Neill Centre, but I am unable to, so I will post an edit to my previous, and hope that it works. Fair warning, this will read like a PR company was hired to write it. It was not. My previous post was a glowing review, and the O'Neill Centre has surpassed even that. It had been 8 years or so of my mom being a resident, and I could not be happier or more grateful. I want to highlight one or two team members as being All Stars, but that would be unfair, because the All Stars are too many to name. Suffice to say, that the entire team on the 5th floor is absolutely wonderful. My interactions with all of them have been warm, thoughtful, compassionate and consistently so, for the entire duration of my mom's stay. My mom passed a few weeks ago. I prepared myself for it for the weeks, months, leading up to it. Still...Moms.....how do you really prepare for that? This is where I will mention two team members by name. Cynthia and Quynh. Navigating the passing of my mom and the complexities that came with it would have been too much by half without their support and compassion. And I have to mention Mei on the 5th floor. Everyone is fantastic at the O'Neill Centre, but Mei was my family's point of contact over the years, and is who I associate my mom's care the most with. The opportunity arose for my mom to move to another floor when they first implemented the Butterfly Project (I think that is the correct name), and as tempting as it was, my brother and I agreed, that people are the heart of care, and Mei and everyone on the 5th floor were the dream team. Everything about an aging parent needing constant care is stressful and heartbreaking. I can't stress this enough, the peace of mind that the entire team at the O'Neill Centre gives to the rest of us is invaluable. It is an incredibly demanding career to take on. You just don't really get it until you witness it first hand. I am, and will be, forever grateful to each and every one of them. Thank you x a million. JM *********************** My mom has been living at the O'Neill Centre for about a year and a half, so I wager now is a good time to post something. I really can't speak highly enough about the staff. Every member of the team has been super approachable, genuine, and proactively helpful. They are AMAZING with my mom. Attentive, and authentic. Mom has Alzheimer's and the level of care she gets at O'Neill has been wonderful. Happy mom = happy family. I am very grateful.

Great staff, kind and helpful. My grandfather is here and they are helping make the most of a sad situation.

Incredible and caring staff. While it's not the most modern or upscale facility, for an individual like my mother whose functioning level is not high and who's perception of the world does not require luxury accomodations, there is no better place for her. Grace on the 2nd Floor is so wonderful. Truly a miracle of a home for my mom.
