Elena was wonderful. That's the place to start with this review. Finding a new home for my mother has come with many challenges and Elena clearly had a deep and human understanding of the emotional and psychological challenges that come with such a transition. I toured 7 facilities in Calgary, and Elena made me feel more confident than any other facility that my mother's needs would be met and that she would be fully cared for. The facility itself was lovely, and amenities appeared to be top notch. It was, however, the feeling that care and attention would also be given to the emotional, psychological, and social welfare of my mother that gave me the greatest comfort.

The Scenic Grande is amazing. The staff is awesome. Elena, Carter and Bailey have been outstanding. Deepinder, Cady and Andrea have been so helpful. The dining room is very appealing and fantastic food. It’s where my parents need to be ❤️😃

My mother was at this facility for only a month but it was a month of constant anxiety, lack of the proper skills and resources to provide the proper care to my mother who has advanced dementia. She had a private room and cost was rather exorbitant only to be told two weeks in that they could have got $10,000 a month for the room. All they do is leave them in front of a tv, or at their table, they weren’t able to change her, said she had shingles without verification, had me run to the doctor only to find out she did not have shingles. We had to go every day with my dad or my brother in the evenings to make sure she was eating. We were doing all the work and they get saying we are trying but not hard enough! Nurses didn’t communicate, say hello or make you feel welcome. They sure like to make you believe they can take care of your loved one but they simply can’t. They also took upfront full month rent for June, damage deposit, and the entire month of July as well. In one month they had taken almost $21,000 out of my dad’s bank account. This didn’t include the fact it was one big room, no furniture, night stand etc. On top of this you had to Purchase all personal items! I would never recommend this facility to my worst enemy. All they are concerned with is your money! When I did complain or bring things up, I was scolded like like was a student in the principals office This facility was recommended from a family member and that we were fortunate to have had the opportunity to enter this facility! What a huge mistake If you want to throw your money at incompetence, then this is the place for you! One month here, felt like an entire year!
