  I needed to do a review for this facility. My mom spent her last months there and seeing the staff operate I needed to review them. I was there three times a week so I saw all the various staff and how they dealt with her. Nurses were exceptional they’re so caring and always showed up with a smile and warm getting, she loved Brian. The health care aids were so good mom had some favorites, Tara was so good she wanted her every day. The young lady who brought breakfast every morning was also a favorite. The cleaning lady that did her room was fantastic every time she went past her room she would wave and say hi. I wanted to say thank you to all the staff for looking after my mom so good for her last days. Thanks from our family.

  My mom was in the dementia unit for 6months. I can't tell you how great everyone was in that unit - from aids to social worker to nurses to OT, just a great team; they really showed they care. Also, Venta has a great recreational calendar and superior OT program compared to other facilities. The one downside of that specific unit only is that there are no windows in the main area (only in their bedrooms, albeit the bedroom windows are large), so it felt confined, and that is where the patients spend all their time. But I didn't want to deduct a star for that because the care is superior. .

  If your loved one requires long term care, DO NOT SEND THEM to this facility. I would never recommend this facility to anyone. My loved one was not treated at the care she deserved and required when her symptoms changed. The Venta Team informed there is a doctor on site a weekly basis and available 24/7; this is not true. The Doctor does not do on-site weekly visits nor do they visit patients when medical conditions changed . The LPNs have fear to reach out to the On-Call Doctor when medical attention is required as they don't want to bother or harass the Doctor after hours. Rather, we were told we should wait until a Nurse Practitioner does their assessment which is weekly regardless if the patient's condition changes within minutes or hours. LPN also advised they can only reach out to the Doctor between 12pm-1pm within a 24 hour cycle. There is ZERO URGENCY and CARE from any staff when immediate medical attention is required - no required tests taken when should have been done. We had to request paramedics to take our mother to the hospital for medical attention multiple times due to LPN hesitating for hours to contact RN or Doctor. You are better off taking care of your loved one yourself or try other facility then putting your trust into the care of Venta. TERRIBLE service and zero care/emotions.
