The food used to be quite good but since the 2025 change in food manager it now often consists of high refined carbs or with meat that is so tough it cannot be cut with a table knife. Dishes are repeatedly sent back to the kitchen uneaten by many frustrated residents, who simply want plain, properly prepared meals, not fancy names. Good food is something seniors truly look forward to, the constant disappointment (and huge expense) is a real source of discontent. Mom’s letter regarding an especially egregious Boxing Day and New Year’s Eve dinner was not acknowledged and there appears to be no change in the quality of the meals despite the residents’ ongoing and expressed dissatisfaction. The staff and residents are lovely and friendly but the facility has insufficient resources and suffers from delayed and poor maintenance. One elevator out of two is often broken, and as the staircases lead to outside the building, there is no way to get from floor to floor and avoid the very long wait times. The cleaning of common and private areas is not particularly rigorous and that would help stop the spread of germs. Currently (Feb 2026) the residence is going through an outbreak of some sort. The residence has great potential but would benefit from a more diligent management.

My name is Charlotte and I want to say how much I enjoy living here with my husband Ross. I especially appreciate all the activities that are available to us every day of the week. Some of my favorites is when we do crafts, games, fit minds, movies etc. Everyone is so friendly and makes you feel welcomed. It's a wonderful place to live,we are comfortable in our apartment and the food is great. Thank-you to all the staff working here.

My mother has lived at Royalcliffe for 5 years now. It was hard for her to leave her home of 45 years but she loves Royalcliffe living. She participates in many of the activities offered and has made many friends. The staff have been wonderful, looking out for her when we are unable to and caring for her when needed. It has been a great choice for our family.
