What a great facility this is!!! The staff are all very caring and patient. The social workers here are all very helpful, offering help whenever needed. The doctors, psychiatrists, and therapists are amazing, providing status updates of my dad's wellbeing from time to time. My family is extremely grateful. My dad is in good hands here. While I am writing this, I hear the staff showing the dementia patients how to play Bingo 🤣😂🥰, and next week they will be taking my dementia dad and others on a bus tour outside the facility 👍👍👍. I honestly don't want my dad to move to a long-term care home when the time comes; however, that is inevitable. The level of care at a government-run long-term care home can in no way be better than what they offer here at Youville Residence. NOTE: Try not to come to Youville Residence on Sundays or public holidays. The front entrance is locked, and you are required to call the phone number listed at the front entrance to have someone unlock the door remotely. They cannot answer the door in a timely manner as they are short-staffed. You may need to wait a while for anyone to answer the phone. .

Arrived at 10:15 am Sunday to visit my wife. The place was locked up tighter than a drum - nobody at front desk, door would not open, the push button box on the left with instructions didn't work/ After a 35 minute plus drive to Parkview, the only thing I could do was to make the 35 minute plus drive back to Steveston. A very frustrating start of the day for someone recuperating from Depression. It would be most helpful if the hours of operation or visiting hours was posted on the premises and added to your website.
