My mom has been a patient of Dr. Schamber since this clinic opened over 15 years ago. Over the years, we’ve purchased three different sets of hearing aids for her, and I’ve attended every appointment with her. Throughout all our visits, we’ve found Dr. Mike to be exceptionally kind, empathetic, and genuine. He truly cares about his patients and always provides honest, thoughtful advice. A couple of years ago, my mom was considering buying new hearing aids. Instead of encouraging a sale, Dr. Mike told us her current pair was still under warranty and offered to have them repaired and serviced at no cost. His integrity and patient-first approach really stand out. The clinic is well-run, organized, and always clean. His secretary, Eva, is friendly, welcoming, and very helpful. Thank you, Dr. Mike and Eva, for everything you do. You are truly the best!

Respectfully, in my honest opinion, l felt this clinic was unorganized, unhygienic, and questionable. They couldn't find my file from my last visit, the sound proof booth was not sound proof as l could hear his secretary's phone ring as well as other distractive noises. The head set was quite filthy and didn't fit my head properly, and l feel he did not comprehensively compensate for such faint test noises that were interfered and overridden with the sounds of my pulse and breathing. I feel the test had too many impediments to give an accurate assessment of my hearing level. He said l just passed the hearing test...borderline. l may not have perfect hearing but l believe it is better than a borderline pass. Much better. ------ In response to your reply, it is of my opinion you are responding with false information. From my observation the headsets were definately not brand new. Not only were they filthy, they were not, in my opinion, appropriate for testing. They were too small and ill fitting causing pressure upon the ear as to make my pulse to accentuate and hinder the faint sounds used for testing. In my opinion, proper headset ear pads should be large enough to encompass the entire ear in a comfortable manner without putting pressure on areas that might cause hindrance.

I was totally impressed with Mike the audiologist until he dropped my elderly mother like a hot potato. He misinterpreteded my brother's care and concern for our mothers hearing as aggression. Without listening to an explanation Dr Mike felt "he could not offer my mother any options". He told me he would refer me to another audiologist but never did. Dr Mike I hope you read this. My brother passed away ...his concern for my mother was multiplied because of PSD due to a long battle with cancer. You didn't allow me to explain over the telephone. .i hope now i have ypur attention. Don't be too quick to judge a person. As for my mother, we have found an amazing audiologist. Thanks and hope this sticks with you when you are faced with similar clients.
